NEW YEAR, NEW PROJECTS!

Mikeli takes over nine ruined buildings in Pendes to convert them into a luxurious hotel.

Our sole purpose has always been to improve people’s quality of life. If beyond advising and accompanying them as a real estate agency throughout the buying and selling process, we can also create an innovative hospitality concept in an exclusive and distinct location, we do it.

Our CEO and the pioneer of this idea, Antonio Avilés, shared all the details last Monday in an insightful interview with El Diario Montañés. In the article, he highlights that following the pandemic, “there will be a renewed interest in villages,” which is why we have moved forward with this ambitious project in the Lebaniega village of Pendes.

“IF IT IS EXCLUSIVE, IT IS EXCLUSIVE” has been the slogan accompanying our real estate activities, but it has gained more meaning than ever with this exciting vision: a luxurious and exclusive hotel nestled among the mountains, filled with comfort, top-tier quality, and high-end finishes. It is dedicated to those seeking a relaxing getaway in a completely natural environment.

Pendes is a charming village in the Liébana region. It is tucked away among the mountains on the northern slope of the stunning Picos de Europa, offering breathtaking views of the peaks—an exceptional enclave right next to the National Park. Its southern orientation, with impressive views of the Peña Ventosa summits, makes it the sunniest village in the area. Its famous Habario, an ancient chestnut grove with unique specimens, makes it the perfect place to breathe, recharge, and contemplate the magnificent landscape.

Furthermore, Pendes served as the filming location for the movie adaptation of Heidi, the famous 1970s animated series that defined many childhoods; it had to be a place that transported us directly to the pure essence of the Picos de Europa. Regarding its architectural heritage, the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Batalla Naval stands out, featuring an altarpiece from the 16th–18th centuries. Additionally, both the Camino de Santiago and the Camino Lebaniego pass through this beautiful village.

Often, what we want isn’t necessarily what we need. But imagine having the privilege of residing in a modern home within the city while enjoying a weekend in a place like this—free from noise, stress, and equipped with every comfort—just an hour and a half from Santander. It is a concept designed specifically for lovers of both nature and luxury.

It is clear that we are not the best, but the easy thing would be to stop trying.
